FERONIA…
Nestled in the mountains just outside Tepoztlán, Feronia offers a setting that feels both restorative and inspiring. Surrounded by expansive gardens, mature trees, walking paths, and panoramic mountain views, it is a place that naturally invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.
THE SETTING

Every aspect of the property has been thoughtfully designed to encourage both reflection and enjoyment. Whether practicing yoga, relaxing by the pool, or wandering the gardens, the landscape becomes an integral part of the retreat experience, offering space for both quiet moments and meaningful connection.

THE SPACES

The interiors at Feronia are warm, welcoming, and intentionally designed to create a sense of comfort and ease. Beautiful guest rooms and inviting gathering spaces offer places to rest, reflect, and simply enjoy being present.

Throughout the retreat, these spaces become places of connection, sharing meals together, engaging in meaningful conversations, enjoying a morning coffee, or unwinding with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Every element has been chosen to support an experience that feels intimate, elevated, and deeply restorative.
YOUR JOURNEY
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE — SETTING THE INTENTION
Before the retreat, we’ll meet individually to connect and explore what you hope to take from our time together. You’ll also complete the VIA Character Strengths Survey, which we’ll draw on throughout the retreat as we explore the strengths and inner resources that can support you in living forward.
DAY ONE — ARRIVE & CONNECT
Arrive at Feronia, settle into your surroundings, and meet the group over welcome drinks and dinner. Our opening evening is an opportunity to get to know one another, share our stories, and begin creating a supportive community for the days ahead.
DAY TWO — LIVING ALONGSIDE GRIEF
We begin the day with movement before gathering for our first workshop. Together we’ll explore some of the common challenges that accompany grief, including rumination, self-compassion, and the ways grief can reshape our lives, while introducing practical tools and perspectives to support wellbeing. The afternoon includes Feronia’s traditional temazcal experience, followed by dinner together.

DAY THREE — EXPANDING LIFE
The morning is spent exploring the surrounding mountains before lunch and free time in the beautiful town of Tepoztlán. Throughout the day, conversations continue naturally as we enjoy new experiences together and create space for both reflection and fun.

DAY FOUR — LIVING FORWARD
Our final workshop focuses on building a life that continues to hold meaning, hope, and connection alongside grief. We’ll explore personal strengths, practical wellbeing practices, and ways to carry what we’ve learned into everyday life. The afternoon includes a cooking experience before we gather for our final dinner together.
DAY FIVE — RETURN HOME
Enjoy breakfast together before heading home with new friendships, practical tools, and a renewed sense of hope for the road ahead.
WHO THIS RETREAT IS FOR
This retreat is designed for mothers who have experienced the death of a child by suicide and are interested in exploring how to carry their loss while continuing to engage in the life ahead. Living Forward retreats combine lived experience, applied positive psychology, movement, reflection, and connection with others who understand profound loss. They are not therapy or a substitute for professional mental health care. Because our retreats are intentionally small and personal, I speak with each participant before registration to make sure the experience feels like the right fit for you and for the group.
